Default Questions about HDMI

So fellas i have a question. Im thinking about getting the epson 8350 and i 120in screen, throwing the image from about 16.5ft. My question is connectivity. I need a hdmi cord to reach all the way to my receiver which is about 20 feet away. Recommendations. I cant run it through the wall.

The Redmere cable is pretty good, but relatively expensive. I own the 30ft Redmere from Monoprice. My projector is too far from the screen and requires a 35 to 40ft HDMI cable. I have used a variety of HDMI cables and they all worked. Surprisingly, even the cheap ones worked for 3D. Check Amazon and Ebay and you will find great bargains.

I recently bought this 40ft cable from Ebay for another room and it looks and works great. I only paid $19.99 plus free shipping for it.

Don't underestimate the length of the cable. If you think you need 16.5 ft, buy a 20ft or 25ft cable. By the time you run it on the walls and the ceiling to the projector, you will be surprised at the length.

I personally own 2 redmere cables in my HT setup. It's more for future proofing then anything else. I switch projectors every year/second year so it's nice knowing that I won't have to deal with running another cable to my projector position anytime soon.

The price for what you get is actually great. Other places were going to charge me double what I had picked up a 40ft run from Monoprice.

I TOTALLY agree with this statement. I'd rather have more cable to deal with then less. And you'll be surprised how much length gets eaten up wit various bends and ways you plan to run the line.

Hey guys, happy 40 foot Redmere cable owner here. Redmere was definately worth the small premium for the piece of mind knowing that it will work on higher bitrate stuff at 40 feet down the road. I wish there was a definitive guide that said for this thickness, this cable it will or will not cut it at this length for this resolution. Unfortunately, there are too many variables to account for (cable quality, outputting components HDMI signal quality, etc..)
