What is this this movie like - is it any good ? By the way, are these printed signatures ?

They don't look printed. Especially as the one in the top right goes over the title and edge.

I've yet to see the movie, but I haven't heard good things. That it is very cliched in it's patriotism, and that the English dialogue given to Liam Neeson is very bad.

Dreadful propaganda film.The fact that this rubbish was given a Blu Ray release in the UK and The Wailing wasn't is unfathomable. Recommended only for the most rabid Gung-Ho Anti Commies.

It's a bit odd if they have the cast autograph 1,000 of these each - or are these signed cards something completely else and not with this set ?

Thanks guys ! I have had a feeling this movie would not turn out so good, and I have hoped I was wrong....

Other than the film i'm certain it will be a lovely edition IVE create some beautiful editions!

KimchiDVD is the only one that shows these, so it may be exclusive to buying with them.

If I had to take a guess you will get 1 card signed randomly. Then there's 5 people signing 200 each or maybe some won't come with an autograph at all? There's been some other limited Korean releases that have done that.

Edit: I got the below info through Google Translate from their Facebook page:

I ordered this and "Tunnel" from Nova Media. Came to about $80.38 for both with $2.00 discount and shipping. Tried all three retailers listed at the top and this was the cheapest.

Just received my copy today. It had one of the autograph cards in it. It appears to be live ink. Believe I got the director John H lee.

The theatrical version is extremely good. Don't think it's propaganda at all when you consider all the other films out there from the CCP perspective. I have to wonder what the extended 30 minutes are all about. It's unfortunate there has been no streaming release in the U.S.

It pairs well with the sister film too - Battle of Jangsari.

Glad I saw this post - I like the movie a lot and didn't realize there was an extended cut! I'll have to get it.

None of the Korean streaminig platforms like Wavve, cinefox, watcha has the extended version with English/Chinese subtitles. It's risky to buy blurays if they are region-locked. Sad!!!
