Shocked to see this. The awful HDX on Vudu has aliasing like crazy, I can't imagine that they'd put that on Blu-ray. Very stoked about getting this terrible weird Don Bluth movie on Blu-ray.

Olive doesn't have a licencing deal with Fox for their titles, they mostly work with Criterion and a label that has two T's nowadays.

Very much looking forward to this. I was bummed that all dvd's were blurry full screen prints. I am very excited to get a widescreen bluray of this.

Hopefully Olive Films can license Care Bears Movie. I know it has an HD master and is owned by MGM. My wife loves that one and has been asking if it is out on bluray yet. I keep having to say no.
She really likes Rock a Doodle and will be thrilled to finally own it

Nah, I definitely see that one coming through Shout!. It was a big hit back in the day, and even though it's not as popular now its got a bigger fan base than Rock-a-Doodle.

I wonder how Olive will do with the aspect ratio. According to Wiki, their live actions were shot in widescreen, while animations were done in open-matte full frame. The old DVD by HBO (released in 2004) was in full frame, which mean we lost the side image for the live actions sequences. I wonder what Olive choose to lose with Blu-ray this time!

Too funny. I've been on a Don Bluth binge lately and was really wishing this one had hit blu. Remember liking it as a kid. Pleasant to my surprise I googled Rock-a-doodle bluray and it lead me back here! Hopefully it's not a pain to get this one in Canada.

I really hope this doesn't turn out to be one of their releases that looks like it's going to come out on schedule, and then two weeks after release date you find out that the rights are Tangled and it's no longer coming out. I just noticed that on Amazon it still shows currently unavailable :-( anybody have any insight or confirmation that this is still coming? Thanks!

is this going to be a fine HD remaster like The Land Before Time or should we expect a mediocre transfer like An American Tail..?
