NEWS
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=13832

Quote:
Independent distributors Cult Epics and Olive Films will bring to Blu-ray director George Barry's horror film Death Bed: The Bed That Eats (1977), starring Demene Hall, William Russ, Julie Ritter, and Linda Bond. The release will be available for purchase on June 3rd.

Synopsis: Prepare yourselves... The strangest bedtime story ever told! Cult Epics brings you Death Bed, George Barry's uniquely weird journey through a world of wind demons, carnivorous furnishings and the spirit of Aubrey Beardsley!

At the edge of a grand estate, near a crumbling old mansion lies a strange stone building with just a single room. In the room there lies a bed. Born of demonic power, the bed seeks the flesh, blood and life essence of unwary travelers... Three pretty girls on vacation, searching for a place to spend the night. Instead, they tumble into nightmares and the cruel insatiable hunger of the Bed! Death Bed is one-of-a kind experience: comic, horrific and dreamlike, that truly has to be seen to be believed. Discover this neglected marvel of American horror for yourself! Special Features:

A film so infamous, even its own director forgot he had made it!

I have to admit when I read the thread title, my first thought was a movie about a bed that eats blu-rays. Now that would be a horror film!

Still in shock. I just saw this and I am pretty sure I am dreaming, so I will check again in the morning to make sure that this is reality.

Oh my sweet lord. I wasn't dreaming. It's true. So many better films awaiting release and we get this crap.

I saw this with my brother (he owns the DVD) a couple of years ago and I enjoyed it. Well made and entertaining for what it is . I consider my brother and expert in horror, cult/horror and he has it in his collection .

Worth it for the title alone, surely. Hah, I remember buying 'Shannon Tweed's Attack of the Groupies' on Steam for that very reason.

Why a bed though when it could be a chair. Or a blanket. Or an apple.

Meh, to each his own.

I am happy we get an upgrade of this. Got the old DVD and found it quite entertaining, so I am definitely getting it!
