Little Big Planet 1 problem on the store

So I've tried getting a response from Sony about this for almost a year now and I've gotten ignored via every medium there is, it seems.

Is anyone else able to test this and see if it's just ME that's got this problem?

I had a digital copy of LBP1 on my PSN account, which was given away after the big psn hack thing. It was part of the Welcome Back package, along with Infamous 1 and some other games.

Well after a HD crash I ended up having to re-install everything. I went to get LBP1 however it keeps giving me the PSP version of the game (Which I also grabbed during the Welcome Back package).

There's two LBP1 entries on the store, and both are 2GB each and both give me the PSP version of it, not the PS3 version.

The game is no longer in my downloads folder either, so I can't get it via that way. This is not an invitation for people to shit on those who prefer digital or anything like that, so please do not take it as such.

I'm trying to see if there's anyone here that can go and test whether or not they can get the full pS3 version of LBP1 from the store or if they also are only able to download the PSP version.

I searched the store and found the PSP and PS3 version, however both download a 2GB file that is the PSP version.

I really would like to have the PS3 version installed again, but alas...I can't even buy it now because it's listed as purchased.

I got little big planet the same way from sony. Yesterday I upgraded the hard drive and redownloaded everything. LBP is on my download list is the correct ps3 version.

Ive had an isssue before with LIVE where a game reverted to demo in my download list. Don't understand why mix ups like this happen.

I will have to double check mine.

I got it free for the hack thing... got the PSP version free too.

However, eventually I lost my PSPGo and had to replace my PS3. So, I only re-dl-ed the PS3 version. The games so freakin boring though I never actually played it so..... I'll have to double check that it's the real PS3 version.

completely off-topic and sidenote here, but do you actually LIKE anything? lol. I only ask because it seems like three posts or so recently have been you basically dumping on various Ps3 related things, whether it's games, or services, etc. PS+, Music Unlimited, LBP, that type of thing.

Just wondering if you actually liked anything, or if you just hated everything. lol

I had this same issue after my OG Fat PS3 died, It would only download the PSP version to my new slim, after I upgraded the HD I was finally able to download the PS3 file.

You're right, Sorry I've been negative. I was excited about the PS4 and decided to get back into my PS3 and found lots about modern day gaming that I don't like.

I like a lot of stuff but maybe I am moving away from gaming a bit. Currently I'm enjoying running through the Batman games. I just finished Tomb Raider and I look forward to God of War and Uncharted (I'm about 90% through the first uncharted game.)

I'm also enjoying a lot of VG with my kids because I bought a used Wii.... Wii is way more fun than my PS3 ... for me anyways.


I was interested in LBP because it looked cool. I got it for free like you did and couldn't believe how much it patted itself on the back. If Mario 64 kind of sucked you would get LBP.

Anyways,... It occured to me that if you DL-ed more than 2 games from the hack then you have multiple accounts. (I had multiple accounts before the hack,.. no malicious intent... I didn't even realize I had 2 accounts.) Maybe you are using the wrong account to check the transaction history.

We were able to get two PS3 and 2 PSP games. I got Infamous/LBP1 for PS3 and LBP1/ModNation Racers for PSP (if I remember correctly).

all under my Groo account. It still reads me as having bought them, but the two entries for LBP1 on the store gives me the exact same copy, both on PSP.

I've written, called, tweeted etc to Sony and got ZERO answer. Maybe MM would be able to help, I dunno.

If you go look for LBP on the store in the PS3 section does it show as purchased?

I had 2 accounts so I got 4 of the 6 offered PS3 games and all 4 PSP games. I no longer have the PSP though...

Yeah when I go on the store both of them (psp and Ps3 section) show them as being purchased. I download both of them, and they're the same file, each the PSP version.

I just went on the online store (web version) and downloaded the PS3 one and it's auto downloading it to my system now. We'll see if this gives me the PS3 version. *Fingers Crossed*

YES! Finally! Thanks to the auto-download thing with the webstore, I downloaded the PS3 version on the webstore, and it downloaded the actual PS3 version and installed it on my PS3.
