Sound Shapes won IGN's Best of E3 Awards 'Best Music/Rhythm Game' and it has three nominations in the Game Critics' Best of E3 Awards (Best Original Game, Best Handheld/Mobile Game and Best Social/Casual Game). Only BioShock Infinite and Uncharted 3 got more nominations!

^ Sound shapes won Best Handheld/Mobile Game and Best Social/Casual Game at E3.
I think this video shows off more clearly than any other how easy it is to use the rear touchpad to move objects and multi-touch to scale and rotate them: You and This Vita Platformer Will Make Beautiful Music Together |

Here's a new demonstration video from IGN:
http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/10/21/...110145&show=HD At first the platforming challenge looks a little ho-hum but towards the end it starts heating up. This is the first time the structure of the game's been laid out. |

Who has it so far?!? This game is amazing. I LOVE it. Played about 5 levels so far and I'm amazed at how cool it looks, how much fun it is, and how awesome the soundtrack is. BUY THIS GAME.
PS play my first level I played around with and published tonight - The Pentatonic Challenge. It's pretty short though, not really challenging either lol |

Still didn't play it enough to judge. Started the day with some Symphony that was released yesterday and Steam and is another game music fans should check out. Then watched True Grit. Then not long before the store updated I noticed a wasp in the house and I am allergic to them so the hunt to kill it was a very slow and cautious hunt that wasted a lot of time. Then I downloaded it but after it downloaded I still had to go pick up Persona 4 Arena so didn't play it. Then met friends for dinner and got home late. Hopefully tomorrow I get in more time with it

I didn't go for speed in my campaing playthrough so I am sure my times are awful. Trophy *****d the beat school and finished the first three death mode levels pretty easily before the low battery message popped up. Death mode seems to will be luck based and not skill based. All about where the notes spawn which is random and all the times I completed them were because the notes kept spawning really close
![]() EDIT: Downloaded the PS3 version while the Vita is charging. Game controls so much better on Vita IMO. But the level editor on PS3 is better. Don't have to use that beyond awful rear touch pad obviously ![]() Oh yeah great game! Last edited by Hayabusa85; 08-08-2012 at 09:17 PM. |

If anyone else has any cool levels, post them here. You can go to soundshapesgame.com and get a link to your game, and anyone can put it in their queue to play when they can, just like LBP!! http://soundshapesgame.com/level/YyVYf3Bs |

Should have knocked on wood when I started saying this would be an easy double platinum. Only have five death mode levels left now and have not tried four of them but Event Horizon #2 is the first one giving me a ton of problems. I can't even figure out a startegy that might work. I either die or keep going to safety and have nowhere near enough time. Only one so far that makes you collect more notes than you have seconds which seems odd. Wonder if the time and notes were supposed to be the other way around. Even then it would be the hardest one though out of what I have played
![]() So close to the platinum and then I can focus all attention on the community stuff and trying to make some levels of my own. But now this one damn level makes it seems so far away unless I pull something out of my ass ![]() Last edited by Hayabusa85; 08-09-2012 at 05:41 AM. |

Finished the other four before going back to retrying Event Horizon #2. After many more attempts I finally got it for the double platinum
![]() ![]() ![]() Now to just enjoy all the community stuff ![]() Forgot what it was called but think it was the first Deadmau5 death level that could really annoy some people to if luck doesn't hit them fast since you have very little control. The one with the three spinning wheels that will only launch and move you in a specfic direction with red enemies between them that always seem to end up where you need to launch making the time tick off. Eventually you are bound to get a bunch of the notes on the same wheel though by luck that will make it easier. Last edited by Hayabusa85; 08-09-2012 at 09:12 AM. |

Seriously though - how could anyone in their right mind think that those levels are remotely enjoyable considering how random and punishing they are is beyond me. Campaign was fun and I can see the promise of user created levels, but the beat school and death levels are the epitome of poor game design. The beat school levels have absolutely no challenge or skill and the death levels are insane and have no relation to skill. |

Also, there's a common error on ps3 with cloud sync. If you find it's not letting you sync, the solution is to sign out of psn quit game restart game sign-in in the game (community or settings tab), which will sign into psn and the sound shapes servers. I wish it was like foosball and syncing it all automatically. But on the other hand foosball has trophy glitch problems so... |
