Default Marvel Anime - X-men/Wolverine/Iron Man/Blade

Wasn't sure if there's a thread for this, feel free to merge if there is one.

I would really like to see these hit the US BD market. Even though I haven't bought a dvd in years, I'm thinking about getting these:

Hey, mate ! They're available on Blu-ray in Japan. US only has them in Instant Video streaming.

Unfortunately, the price for one of them in Japan is 10.000 Yen, which is about 126 dollars. Plus, they only have japanese audio. Maybe English subtitles too.

Just started watching Wolverine on DVD. It seems pretty decent. I got Blade sitting here as well, and chances are that I might check out the other ones if I like these well enough.

Yeah...I know I'll pass on those Japanese imports.

Thanks for the info! Way too expensive for me. I can only hope Marvel/Disney get's on the ball, and releases them in the US, on BD.

You are welcome. I'm not sure they will. The series didn't have very good reviews. With good reason, in my opinion. My only interest in them is due to the animation style. Except for Wolverine. I hate that, but I need to add it to the collection.

Anyway, I don' think they will release them in the US> The only explanation for such a high price is that they're Japan exclusives and only available in Japan, so if the US wants to release them, but with a normal Blu-ray price (the average would be about 30$), it would affect the JP sales way too much cuz it would be a huge difference.

I'm just hoping WB will release Batman TAS on Blu-ray. This HD remake looks stunning.

That does look very good! I'd like to see that get released soon too!
As for the Marvel Anime, it's definitely for a very niche crowd(small portion of both Marvel & Anime fans)...so while it wouldn't be a huge seller I think it would warrant enough sales to make it practical. I had the dvds in my hand at BB last week, but wasn't going to do it. I'll wait for a BD release. Marvel is pretty hot right now, heck comicbook movies in general! We'll see. If it happens, great. If not I won't lose too much sleep!

Anyone in the US ever get these on BD? Curious if they contain English audio tracks.
