Default AUS/KIWI Photography thread

From the looks of things quite a few of us can take a half decent shot, so i thought we could share some photo love while we talk blu

Please include where it was taken.

Absolutely NO INSTAGRAM PHOTOS OF FOOD - you have been warned

Colosseum, Rome. It's going a bit crumbly...

Thanks chief! I use a Nikon D80 - it never leaves my side. Where's she doing the course? Hope she enjoys it.

Okay, I'm up for it! ...I guess...

I'm a pretty amateur photographer but a big photoshopper. I usually do urban scenery, graffiti, and trains. One of my favourite shots I've taken recently is this one; the only editing was the exposure levels afterwards in Photoshop. I don't know why I like it so much, but I just do.

I like playing with the sun... not always good shots, but here are a few I have taken recently...

I do have a proper DSLR, but never have it at the right moments, so all the shots above were actually taken from my phones with no manipulation... (Nokia E7 or Lumia 920)

Whatever you have on you is always better than no camera at all.

I just like taking pictures of random things.

Shed in the middle of a rainforest on the Gold Coast.

Having a drink at an Italian restaurant called Vapione on the Gold Coast, great ambient and thought it'd just make a great shot. Was on holidays, so had the camera with me most of the time.

Taken with phone while riding the bus one night. I kinda like it for some reason, with the soft lights.

Just the piano we had before we had to sell it prior to moving, I was never very good at it.

Sorry guys, going to have to move this. A bit too far away from Blu-Ray discussions to keep it in the Aussie subforum.

So the discussion can stay local for the members participating, can it be moved to the "The Aussie General Banter Thread" instead mate?

I think this a great idea for a thread and does have merit, and I as a frequent poster in The Photography Thread in GC can speak for everyone that we would love to have all interested join us!

Another idea is to open a Social Group for AUSI/KIWI Photography if you want to keep it strictly to that subject? Just an idea? Anyway, I've enjoyed the photos posted so far!

Well I think you're a bit of a douchecanoe, but to each their own. There's nothing wrong with adjusting exposure levels, brightness or anything like that post-shot. I could do the same thing before I took it on my camera if I was bothered.

A nice shot I took while in Venice, a small island I forgot the name of with a very colourful hue to it. Have not edited this one yet, will do soon though.
