Default Which Blurays would you buy just for completist's sake?

I am not sure if I put it right in the title (since English is not my native language).
This thread is about movies (maybe not just specific movies but groups of movies - by director, genre, actor, studio, etc.), that you could do without in Bluray or it's not on top of your priority of the movies you love, but you would like to buy nonetheless just to complete a collection of something..

eg.
-I would like to buy all Hitchcock blurays. (that doesn't mean that I love all of them, or I can't do without some of them)
-also I'd like to buy complete filmographies (if they were released in Bluray) of certain actors like Cary Grant, Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Marlon Brando, Katherine Hepburn, Judy Garland, Fred Astaire etc..
-all the 2d Disney theatrically released animation films

I own Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull simply because it was included in the box set with the other three films. It's not a horrible film, but I would not have otherwise bothered to own it.

I also own Heartbreak Ridge on Blu-ray simply because it came in a double-set with the vastly superior Firefox, which was my reason for purchasing the package.

Same here. I also own the Ocean's Trilogy box set even though I didn't much care for Ocean's Thirteen.

Blade 3 just cuz it was free (minus tax and an old dvd I couldn't give away) during upgrade and save. It was on sale for $9.99, but that dropped to $4.99 and it had $5 movie cash for Dark Knight Rises which I had planned to see anyway, so free.

Insomnia was also free via this route, not sure which one I dislike more. I still haven't watched Blade 3 but gave Insomnia another try and hated it as much as I remembered. Was hoping I missed something or was in the wrong mood when I first saw it, but no, Nolan can make bad films and did.

I have always wanted to own all of the Best Picture winners and I have been trying through about three formats (LaserDisc, DVD, and now Blu-Ray). I am also working towards all of Hitchcock and Scorsese.

I bought Batman and Robin although I don't care for it. The grandkids like it though. Picked it up a couple of years ago for $7.50 from WB Shop along with the other three from the anthology for the same price.

Yeah I would pick up the "Tim Burton" Nama series including the 3rd and 4th sequel if the price were right.

I have sub collections including favorite directors and favorite actresses and actors so I own a lot of title I wouldn't have normally purchased just because someone I like is in it.

An extreme case in point is Gangster Squad. I absolutely LOATHE Sean Penn and I love Emma Stone more...so I bought it and I will never be clean. Fortunately she was awesome in it and I liked seeing her in a serious role.

I thought she pulled off an incredibly serious role in The Help as well.

I'm sure that I'll be blasted repeatedly in this thread after saying this, but I thought that Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy was more enjoyable to watch in The Amazing Spider-Man than Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane Watson was in the Sam Raimi films. Emma Stone was perfect for the role, and the character lacked the annoyance factor of the Dunst role from the other films.

Didn't care for Twelve but I bought the set anyway. Same with Aliens Anthology. Could have just got Alien & Aliens on the cheap. I got the Shrek set even though I hated 3 same with Jurassic Park.

I just noticed I don't really buy for completist's sake. I'll never buy the last two Die Hards, Superman 3 & 4, Blade 3. I'm sure I could go on.

I really want the theatrical Superman II on Blu-ray, but I'm avoiding buying the big Superman Anthology box set simply because I do not want to own Superman Returns.

I found cheap stand-alone Blu-rays of the first four Rocky movies, and I own stand-alones of Alien and Aliens.

I also found stand-alone Blu-rays of the first Die Hard film and the first Jurassic Park film.

I don't like "dead weight" in my collection, but there was not really any way around it for the fourth Indiana Jones film in the box set.

I just picked up the X-Men trilogy for $10 for X3, already had the first two so I can sell those, and got Wolverine BD/DVD/DC combo for $5 on clearance. Just stared watching it and it's not as bad as I remember.

I could do without GI Jane, but it was free and I have every other Ridley title (Where's 1492 already?!?!)

Avatar is by far my least favorite Cameron film, but besides completing that collection, the 3 disc set is amazing and it's a great demo disc.

I never planned on buying RE Extinction, but when the steelbook series came out, I had to get it. Still haven't watched Retribution yet.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

There should be a companion thread like, "What titles would you not buy just to complete a collection?"

I bought the Blu-Ray + DVD combo packs of Toy Story 1 and 2 at Half Price Books last night to complete my Toy Story set.

Crystal Skull ain't that bad. It's a better fourth film than Bourne Legacy

Oh, it's not bad at all, but, if not for its inclusion in the Indiana Jones box set with the three previous films, I would not bother to own it.

I'm in the minority, but I loved The Bourne Legacy. It's a sharp film that works almost as a stand-alone story, and it's a fun addendum to the previous three films.

Neither do I for the most part but if I can find a set that cost less on average than the stand alones, I'll usually bite. Also, with Alien Anthology, I was told the extras alone was worth the $24.99 & I wasn't disappointed at all.
