As we all know, QT has "made" 9 movies and said he "plans" to stop at 10. Whether you believe it or not is a matter of personal opinion, but we do know that, at one point or another, QT was attached to write and/or direct a 3rd Kill Bill and a standalone Star Trek movie, both of which have seemingly fell through.
Which film would you have "preferred" for his supposed 10th and final film? I know the obvious answer is "I'd prefer he do something original", and I'm with you on that, but given the choice between established franchises (one of which he created) for his "final" outing? Personally, I would've preferred Kill Bill Vol. 3. There's still a bit of untold story left with Green's family tracking down and killing The Bride, which was the rumored plot for the film involving the now-adult daughter. Plus an R-rated Star Trek just feels totally unnecessary and doesn't fit the franchise at all (see: Star Trek Discovery and all the "not feeling like real Trek" complaints from fans towards its gratuitous gore, F-bombs and even Klingon rape (!) in one episode), and I've more than made my thoughts about "dumbing down" stuff known. |

I love Tarantino's films but I have no interest in either one. A third Kill Bill movie is unnecessary.

His counting sucks. Kill Bill 1 and 2 each had their own opening and closing credits. They came out at different times. I had to buy separate theater tickets for each. I've owned them on separate DVDs and now separate BDs. It has only been shown as 1 movie a handful of times at one theater in the whole world.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is his 10th movie and its fantastic. For his 11th movie, I'd take Star Trek between those two choices, but I hope it's neither. Kill Bill seems like it was already concluded. |

He said that it's just a "soft retirement". That he's not going to push himself to develop new projects, but if an idea pops into his head that he really wants to do, he's going to come back. I think he'll take break, maybe even ten years, but then come back with a few more films.

I think his last final "tenth" film will be an original idea.
There's no way someone so obsessed with his filmography and legacy would ever end his run with an IP like Star Trek or a third Kill Bill. Anyway i hope in his last one, whatever it is he works with DiCaprio again, because he always brings the best in his films and elevates them with his genius ideas and improvisations, as seen in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. |

I had to pick between better of 2 worst choices.
I went with STAR TREK. I can imagine spok and captain having a 2 hrs long intreging conversation over cup of coffee in cafeteria of the USS enterprise while the whole universe will get blowing up into smithereens. Only tarantino will get away with it. |
