Toshiba HD-DVD A1 HDMI Problem - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,

Just recently dusted off and updated the firmware on my Toshiba A1 HD DVD player. I have never been able to get the HDMI out to work on the unit. I thought maybe updating the firmware would work, but all I get is HDMI flashing on the front display. I thought it might be cool to have it hooked up because I have several HD DVD movies that I bought in a lot from eBay a while back, so I might as well use them!

Thanks for any input on possibly correcting this.

Is there a switch on the front? There is on XA2.

No switch on the front. Here's a shot of the player.

I have successfully set the input to HDMI, it just seems like it's not sending the signal.
