Leon SteelBook (Kimchidvd Exclusive #6) (Korea) - Blu-ray Forum

I came across this via the Hi-Def Ninja forums. Never been there before, but I found it rather interesting that we didn't have a thread here for this steelbook. Not sure how the whole "Kimchi Exclusive" thing works, but I definitely like the idea of a new Léon steelbook. And some of the proposed artwork is pretty impressive.

"HDN will choose artwork and steelbook treatment (embossed/debossed, gloss/matte etc). All of steelbook treatment will be decided by poll results"

They've put out Terminator 2 as Kimchi exclusive #1.

Le Grande Blue is #2 with two variations

Monsters Inc is #3 - also two variations

Tangled is #4 - two variations

fantastic movie... I already have the german steel but if this one has nice artwork I would gladly pick it up and ditch the german version

Kimchidvd exclusives are kinda pricey but IMO well worth it. I have their T2 exclusive and have Monsters, Inc. on order. Will be ordering Leon and Tangled exclusives when they become live.

Yep, great film! I currently have the amaray version, so I too am looking forward to seeing how this steelbook turns out.

if they use the art that guy sete posted with leon showing matilda how to shoot on the inner artwork I would instantly buy it and ditch the german steel, that one is absolutely perfect in my opinion... I don't like the newer inner art he posted with "LEON" spelled out across the inside

yep, this was one of the movies i'd always wished they made a sequel for. Matilda grows up and becomes a kick ass cleaner.

I prefer the one up top. Much better with face in B/W with black border and cherry red deboss on the title.

They kinda did with Columbiana. When I found out what Columbiana was about, I was like what the hell that is Leon 2 right there.

The rear art on that top one looks way too photoshopped though. Looks cheap and amateur. The "white" background for Matilda looks more seamless and natural. I like that far more given the other slight variations in design.

I agree, I would much rather have the b&w cover... I think there were far better choices in the hdn thread than the ones they picked as candidates in the voting
