Just saw this on her Facebook page, which was posted an hour ago:

I was one of those whose order was cancelled for her blu-ray. I know rights switched hands. So I'm looking forward to eventually and soon getting my hands on..her.

Anyone else know any new details? Anyone going to Scarefest this weekend to confirm?

Would anyone mind giving me an update on this release. I have avoided the Elvira threads when they devolved into non-stop bickering and drama.

So there is a Region A release with that new scan and bonus features?

I’m willing to bet these are either the German Blu-ray which is pretty much the cancelled release or....

Since she has the rights, she is announcing the Arrow disc which has the same extras except a better encoded documentary and offering that as a convention exclusive.

If I had to guess, she’s just selling copies of the German mediabooks. Arrow would have announced already if she has those to sell otherwise.

So how exactly would a thread about Elvira turn into bickering and drama? I guess literally anything on the internet can do that.

She posted a story about it on Instagram. The picture she put up was a regular blue blu ray case. This does not look like an Arrow release. I wonder if the failed release sent her some copies and she repackaged them.

It was released in Germany with all the extras promised but the documentary has an encoding error.

The Arrow disc will have a corrected documentary plus all the other extras. Since Elvira actually has the rights to the film and all its features, I’m betting its the German disc with a localized US cover or the German cover flipped to hide the censorboard certificate.

But just to be sure, I sent a message to her/her team to get clarification.

I totally love this movie. An unappreciated gem. The movie marquee gag is a classic! Plus it has a sweet innocent charm. Shame they don't make fun stuff like this anymore.

Saw this post as well. I was figuring it was the German release. Wish Arrow would hurry up with theirs...I wonder what the hold up is?

She didnt pay to make the movie. I dont think Paul Ruebens owns Pee-Wee's Big Adventure either. Lol
