Australia Importing Titles from YESASIA

Hi Guys,
I have ordered couple of movies from yesasia.com worth of around 170$. This is my first import. Is there will be anything like Import/customs charges levied on this?

Thanks.

Not if you are in Australia, orders under $1000 do not get taxed.

$170 seems steep for a couple of titles

Yeah it is. Each BD costing over 40 after conversion from USD. But I'm not sure we can ever get them here in AUS.
A Moment to Remember (Blu-ray) (Normal Edition) (Korea Version)
The Berlin File (Blu-ray) (2-Disc) (First Press Limited Edition) (Korea Version)
New World (Blu-ray) (First Press Limited Edition) (Korea Version)
Masquerade (2012) (Blu-ray) (First Press Edition) (Korea Version)

I've never been charged extra for overseas packages, and that includes orders from Yesasia of that value and more.

Besides, Yesasia often marks down the value of their packages significantly.

I agree with you. I have only bought one blu ray from Yes Asia - The Last Samurai with Dolby True HD 5.1 soundtrack. Cost over $40 after conversion. I love this movie and it was well worth the purchase in my opinion as this lossless track is much better than Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack on local release. No sign of this movie getting released with a lossless soundtrack anywhere else in the world at this stage.

Are you really set on the Korean versions? You can save yourself a bit of money buying Masquerade and New World from Amazon US which are a lot cheaper. I know the CJ Entertainment editions are nice but if you're just interested in the film, the US versions are good enough.

How much time would it take normally to reach the package to AUS?

It's usually 1-3 weeks, so don't panic if it doesn't arrive in a week. And yeah, it's usually delivered through Australia Post.

I've ordered over 100+ times from them over the years, and haven't had a lost parcel, so don't worry!

I carted the exact same blurays over kimchidvd to get an idea of the cost. You wouldhave paid 146 if you went there. That's a big enough reason to use kimchi IMO. The service is exactly the same ad yesasia.
