Default Is My Receiver Sufficient Or Are Amps Needed?

Ok I have 2 x Emotiva Upa-2, they were driving my wharfedale jade 5s but they didn't have enough power. I've since purchased a behringer 2800 to solve that problem. The upa have been put to the centre which is the jade 2 and the surrounds. Some polks

Now, my denon 3310 is done for and I'm looking to get a pioneer 76. My question is will that receiver drive the surrounds more than sufficiently that I can offload the emotiva and put the money towards the receiver and hang onto the behringer for the fronts? Maybe hang on to one of the Emotivas for the centre? Unless the receviver is sufficient for that too?

First - I'm glad to hear that you kept the Jades!!!! I was wondering what became of that (told ya they want the juice )! Now - yes you have the right ideal, keep one UPA to run the center - the SC-LX76 is more than powerful enough to handle the polks as surrounds.

I've decided to get the Yamaha aventage 2020 instead. Would that be sufficient to drive my centre without the need of the emotiva amp? Rated at 240w for 6 ohms the yamaha
