Any word on this (thee?) classic Film Noir coming to Blu?

Out of the Past - one of my (if not THE) fav noirs of all time. Enough said

Le Samourai, you've also expressed desire to see The Day of the Jackal on blu-ray. You're a man after my own heart

Re blu-ray: George Feltensten (of WB) stated the following, few weeks ago, when asked about blu-ray: " The film elements pose a challenge to create a great Blu...but eventually it will come to pass! ".

So, it's not coming anytime soon, I'm affraid.

Earlier this evening, I revisited Out of the Past for the first time in years.

I've seen this movie quite a few times by way of the Warner DVD, but tonight was my first time watching the DVD on a high definition television, and it puts the visual splendor of the movie into a new light. I would dearly love to see this one upgraded to Blu-ray with a good restoration.

I had forgotten how much I loved this movie. I might have to shift a good movie out of my all-time top ten list to make room for this.
