Quote:
Argos Films and Arte Video have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray acclaimed director Alain Resnais' classic film Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959), starring Emmanuelle Riva, Eiji Okada, and Stella Dassas. The release is set to arrive on the French market on November 19th.

Hiroshima, Mon Amour was recently restored in 4K by Argos Films, Technicolor and Groupama Gan Foundations, and Cineteca di Bologna, with the support of CNC. Earlier this year, the new restoration was screened in the Classics section of the Cannes Film Festival.

A French actress and a Japanese architect have an affair while the actress is making a movie in Hiroshima. Their pasts are slowly re-traced, revealing that his life was destroyed by the atomic bomb which was dropped on the city, and that she was imprisoned as a wartime collaborator. Alain Resnais' first feature. The screenplay is by Maguerite Duras.
