Default The Man Who Changed His Mind (1936) 8/14/2025

Looks like Pidax is releasing THE MAN WHO CHANGED HIS MIND (1936) on 8/14/2025. One of Boris’s best and most obscure films, and easily his finest appearance as a mad doctor; he’s totally intense here and really pulls out all the stops. Directed by Robert Stevenson, who would eventually go on to helm a little film by the name of Mary Poppins. Long unavailable in anything except horrible quality from a sole surviving shredded 16mm print with the US release title THE MAN WHO LIVED AGAIN, original uncut British elements in good shape finally turned up and a decent DVD was released by Shanachie in 2004. Uncut with its original title and in watchable quality at last, the release was compromised because it was a PAL-to-NTSC transfer, complete with speedup issues like incorrectly pitched sound and shortened running time. This promises to be a huge upgrade.
