The Three Faces of Eve Blu-ray PRE-ORDER

NEWS
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=12126

Quote:
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release on Blu-ray director Nunnally Johnson's The Three Faces of Eve (1957), starring Joanne Woodward, David Wayne, and Lee J. Cobb. The release will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on November 5th.

Eve White, a mousy, withdrawn housewife (Woodward) startles her husband (Wayne) when she claims she did not buy the flashy, provocative clothes he finds in their bedroom. After she complains of blackouts, he takes her to a psychiatrist (Cobb) who soon encounters her second personality, Eve Black, a sexy, uninhibited woman. As Eve's therapy continues, her third self, the sensible, intelligent Jane appears to help resolve her rare multiple personality condition. Based on a true story, this acclaimed psychological drama brilliantly explores the dimensions of the human mind.

Fantastic! Hopefully the original stereo mix has been discovered and restored and will be presented here!
EDIT: I failed to look at the specs on the disc page. I guess the original stereo is truly lost

They were showing this on Sky Movies HD earlier in the year, but I kept missing it.

Added to my wishlist, looking forward to seeing this.

Again FOX turns to be the best studio of 2013 for classic catalog titles!!!! FOX released more pre-1980 titles then any other studio.

Warner has released a lot of catalog too - but a lot from the the 80's and 90's (and they also release MGM) so pre-1980's titles have been pretty slim from Warner/MGM.

Great to have "The Killing Fields" and "Tequila Sunrise" coming in January, but what about "Mister Roberts" "The Great Race" "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and "Auntie Mame"???

Typical Warner: dragging their asses. Fox continues to stomp out the compitition. I'd like to see fewer of their high profile titles going to Twilight Time, though.

I honestly can't believe anyone would think that's a good cover. Ugh...the designers working for Fox and the people who approve are out of their minds while coming up with all these Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, etc. covers.

I would have preferred something closer to the original poster art in this thread. The three heads there are quite excellent.

I agree. But at least it's a bit better than these IMO.

At this point, even though I have nit-picked in my above posts, I really don't care about the cover art. I'm just happy to see Fox releasing it and not sending it to Twilight Time.

Dvd Beaver has a review up and I watched it today and concur that it looks very good - one of the best looking black & white Cinemascope films on blu ray so far so no worries there.

Fox has gotten much better at turning out quality transfers on these older classics.
