Is that the 74 original Chainsaw Massacre? I don't think the remake is out here yet either. Anyway, looking forward to the Dead movies!

How are we expecting Romero's three films, and TCM to look?

I'd say TCM will be the Dark Sky transfer, and Dawn, Day will be Arrow UK, so all in all thumbs-up for all.

Yes it has been released, but for some reason no one seems to have stocked that or Shallow Grave, but my wholesaler definitely has stock of both titles.

Is the PQ and AQ of A River Runs Through It similar to Sony's?

I have the US Blu-ray of this film. The local one was listed as 1.66:1 and I wanted the 1.85:1 ratio. Plus the US disk got rave reviews for PQ, so that's what I bought.

Superb transfer as expected, but I haven't read anything about the Umbrella yet, good or bad. But I'm assuming it can't be the US master due to the ratio difference.

I own the disc and the database listing has the correct specs.

It's just the back cover that lists the incorrect ratio. It is actually 1.86:1, very close to the 1.84:1 the US disc has. It is a different transfer and encode. Ours is softer but it also happens to have a much warmer and slightly more saturated look to it.

The audio quality is fine and I suspect similar if not the same as the US disc.

As for which is better, well the US is sharper looking but I like the colours better on our disc. Audio is pretty much no difference. That leaves special features. The US has a couple of features including a 30 minute and 16 min doco. Ours has a 55 min doco.

It's also $8 at K-Mart. The U.S disc is currently listed for $10, which is over $15 when you factor in the exchange rate and shipping.
