Default Sleepwalkers (1992)

Sleepwalkers Blu-ray

Sleepwalkers Blu-ray Review

Awesome random discovery on amazon today...SLEEPWALKERS on blu ray!!! Comes out September 4th from image. I know this movie's always had a shaky reputation but I think it's a nearly perfect blend of horror camp and moody atmosphere. Can't wait to own it on blu! It's also worth noting that Sleepwalkers is the only movie written for the screen by King himself aside from Maximum Overdrive and Cat's Eye (bring us those on blu too!).

Seems that lately there has been a lot of random titles showing up on amazon without a press announcement. I have been pleasantly surprised to discover pre-orders for The Boogens and Firstborn as well recently (among others). Keep em comin!!

It is kind of a medicore flick, but I guess it's sort of a guilty pleasure for me since I've seen it quite a few times. I'll probably grab this at some point, but I really hope Image gets around to releasing Idle Hands before their licensing agreement with Sony is over!

Idle Hands would be pretty sweet. That movie was a lot better than i thought it was going to be.

Pushes it above mediocrity by the presence of a young Madchen Amick. Will definitely pick this up once the price drops.

pretty sure he also wrote the teleplay for 1997's "The Shining," but since that's a made-for-TV productions perhaps it doesn't count... there may still be more that i can't recall, either.

Hehe, watched this movie several times as a kid. Don't remember much of it anymore, but might buy it if it's cheap enough.

Would love to see The Shining mini-series get a blu-release.

It's frustrating, because there is no screenplay category distinguished on IMDB....you would have to scroll through EVERY movie individually and check the credits. I tried a google search too - "movies written for the screen by Stephen King" - and got nothing. maybe his wiki page...

I posted about this before the server crash on this site.
Love this film...a guilty pleasure. Alice Krige (Borg Queen) is so great in this and a major beech in the film. Such a weird movie and one I pre-rdered the moment it became available.

Cat lovers beware.

Creepshow has been out for a while on Blu, Pet Sematary comes out in October. Seeing a Creepshow 2 Blu would be awesome along with Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (with an isolated score) *fingers crossed*.

I enjoyed Sleepwalkers as a kid, might check it out again to see if it holds up. Never seen Thinner, but the book was all right. I'm obviously thrilled about Pet Sematary!

For those in the Burbank area, Dark Delicacies will be having an in-store signing with Mick Garris and others to be announced on 9/4. Click on Signings/Events here. I'm interested in an autographed copy, but don't really want to pay $11 shipping for one item, and none of the other upcoming signings really interest me.

Nice, they combined the shipping for Sleepwalkers with Halloween 4 and 5. Hopefully they'll do similar signing events for the release of Pet Sematary or Re-Animator.
