I think they must still be involved at some level, because I'm very surprised that Paramount are actually releasing a Blu-ray of this film, which doesn't exactly have the "youth appeal" of The D Train or Good Kill. And I believe that the only other film Paramount have released on Blu-ray from their post-Boyhood deal with IFC is Sleeping with Other People...but apparently, only as a rental disc (!), so things are getting a tad strange.
In any event, I shall be picking up the release, to support more Paramount titles on Blu-ray. I have the UK version, but have not had time to watch it yet. |

I think that applies to the US art more than the Canadian art.
I'll get the DVD on day 1 because this was one of my favorites from last year and wait for the eventual Criterion release. Although if you ask me, whoever at IFC is deciding these films get cruddy releases from Paramount first and then loaded Criterion sets later on should be fired. |

The US and Canada blu-rays are both bare bones.
![]() Charlotte Rampling and Andrew Haigh were both at the Criterion office earlier this year, and now the North American release from the Paramount has no supplements. |

Perhaps, it's pretty strange that Paramount released a Blu-ray, though. They sure didn't for Clouds of Sils Maria, when that would have made more sense than a Blu-ray for 45 Years. This is even a rare BD-25 for Paramount, with no extras or trailers, just static menus and subtitle options.

Is it silly that I was kinda "meh" on 45 Years when I saw it in the theater earlier this year, but now that Criterion is releasing it I want to give it another go. Oh, the power of Criterion!
