United Kingdom Definitive Versions of The Crow 1 & 2?

So I've been doing a bit of research from here, and from what I understand, right now the best version of The Crow 1 is the Japanese 4K release. Is this the case? I'm interested in confirmation just incase because that information is old it may be inaccurate, or if I've missed something. Does the Japanese release contain all Special Features in English?

Also, what is the situation on The Crow: City of Angels? Best PQ, SQ and Special Features-wise.

I have the Japanese release based on the idea it was the best version.

I was not disappointed. Mind, I've seen any other version to compare.

You have it early?

The thing is: Where can I import it? Does it contain all extras?

I had no idea there was a better version of The Crow. In what respect? Transfer? Extra footage?

The transfer is quite good. As for The Crow 2 did not even know it was out. I was never a fan out it.

The Crow 2 on DVD has a nice amount of extras, but does anyone know if it is Region B compatible?

Is that the cover art or a mock up? It looks awful!

Its a real shame that The Crow was heavily cut for an R Rating before release in the USA and that version is what was released everywhere.
I guess there is no chance of an unrated original cut?
Here are a list of the cuts...http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1202

Nope, Alex won't go back to this one.
I have seen all the work prints and Re edited the unrated scenes back into the original version, plus made it black and white with the colour flash backs that were intended.
And I watched it once lol

Is the Reigon B EiV release really that good? I've always assumed it was a bad transfer, because the cover is so bad. Bought the American Miramax/Lionsgate disc a few years ago, but it's Region A, so it won't play on my machine.

It's more than fine, it's mpeg and 1080I with lossy audio so the spec warriors will say it's crap
But the master used is the good one out of the two available

I've got the German version. It's 1080p and has commentary, deleted scenes etc.

Thanks guys!

Looking at the these captures is interesting.

In retrospect, I'm not crazy about the way the Region A looks. The framing looks cramped and the colours have clearly been boosted too much. Let's be honest, The Crow never had the most vibrant of colour pallets, did it?
