1. A scoped Ruger 10/22 rifle. You'll want headshots and quick follow up shots. A .22 gives you all the penetration you need for a zombie melon and no recoil unlike the higher caliber mentioned above. Right now ammo is hard to come across, but every Walmart still has a bunch of 550 round boxes of good ol' .22LR with plenty of 10/22 magazines on the rack. You could easily have 20 loaded 10 round 10/22 mags on you with 200 rounds available, and that's not something you can say about any other readily available weapons system. You aren't going to get your hands on a M4, ammo, and necessary supplies in a pinch.
2. Glock 17. For close in shots (when necessary) you want speed and capacity. 17 rounds per mag with accuracy and low recoil. Glock mags/spare parts are available where you'll be scrounging, and I'd rather try to loot 9mm ammo over .40/.45acp/10mm/etc. Added bonus in an emergency would be a couple of Glock 18 magazines. Nice to have 31 rounds available between reloads. If you want to be covered in zombie slobber because you have to reload then go with full auto, semi auto will be fine by me. 3. Colt 1911. Ricshoe will likely show up, and he's a .45 snob. While I'm holding off the zombie masses with my .22 and Eurotrash tupperware 9mm he can sit in the corner trying to figure out why his gun won't properly cycle a round. ![]() |

First I'd get my dog Sam and find a bunch of canned food from the city and stock my house up, next I'd put retractable 6-inch think steel plates in front of every window. Then I'd go out and find a couple generators and a crap load of gas. I would also try and capture one every once in a while and figure out how to turn them back into regular people.
Man, that would make a good movie ![]() |
