anybody buy UV codes from here before?

Prices seem a bit high for the new releases compared to what you can find in the Buy/Trade thread here.

Also, keep in mind the Family Video codes could redeem in SD.

I think they do refund the shipping charges if your order only contains codes.

They do refund the money. I haven't bought recently but they take about a day to email.

Use Newageflix.com instead. You can choose between SD and HD on most films, and I always get my code the within a few hours.

Every title I clicked on gave me a webpage error.

Your right. That just started happening. However, if you click on Add to Cart, instead of details, it will work.

Would buying UV from them not get you in trouble?

I'm curious, why would buying UV codes from any where lead to trouble?

Buying them should not lead to problems, it would be selling them that might get someone into problems. Re-selling UV codes are technically against the terms of service and the studios appear to be turning a blind eye for the moment to it, likely in the hopes of facilitating its market growth.

I guess you can't have one with out the other huh?
Can't buy it with out it being sold. Hopefully it does increase the groth and get other studios holding out on board.

Do these titles show up on Vudu after you redeem the UV code?

Why wouldn't they? Just like using your own codes.

I just bought one yesterday from Family Video's Website and received it in my email today, and it redeemed fine, they said they refunded shipping but I've yet to see that in my bank account, I assume it may take a day or two for that to show up though....

UPDATE: And it was in HDX...and yes they did credit my card's account on file back the shipping fee....

Everything I read says UV code.
What if a movie had DC and UV.
That would still be available that way right
Just maybe they don't advertise it do to the fact some may require a disk?

Thank you in advance!

I bought my first code from Family Video yesterday. It was for "42". I redeemed the code and no "42" in my collection. After chatting with a Flixster UV rep, it turns out the code they sent me was for "Argo". I emailed Family Video about the issue.

They replied in less than an hour with a code that worked. Good CS.
