Default From Dusk Till Dawn vs. 4 Pack...

Okay, the reviews are out. Quality is sit for From Dusk Til Dawn on blu ray. I have both the single release:

http://www.amazon.com/From-Dusk-till...9650978&sr=8-1

and the 4 Pack release:

http://www.amazon.com/From-Dusk-Till...9650978&sr=8-2

Forgive me for being novice, but my question is: is the quality worse on the 4 Pack release since they squeezed all the sequels onto one disc? Or is the quality the same? I have a PS3...is there any way of viewing the specs??? Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Simon!

Get the Steelbook - its a Canadian release - but has all the bonus materials that are on the DVD (save for the boogie thing)

I have the 4-pack. The main feature looks great. The sequels are fairly terrible in the video quality department, but it was well worth the 5 bucks I paid for it.

The Alliance release is the best and pretty affordable. $10 with free shipping.

disagree, the EB release is better. the Alliance release has nasty washed out contrasts

Every review I've read of the EE says it looks..not good and the audio superior on the Alliance disc as well.

I had both to compare against. the EB one has a few more compression artifacts but much more accurate colors. the Alliance once has slightly better compression but the nasty contrasts wash everything out. The audio is edged out by the alliance release though. slightly more bombastic.

This appears to be the best, most affordable, region-friendly option. Don't confuse it with the first Alliance release, which is to be avoided.

I wrote reviews on all three Echo Bridge releases of From Dusk Till Dawn. Essentially, the encode on the quad is the same encode on the double feature. It's compressed down from 19+GB to 14+GB. The compression is somewhat noticeable. But, I'd recommend the quad for Full Tilt Boogie.

Unfortunately that is the only special feature on the original DVD worth owning...

I haven't seen an Echo Bridge BD yet that has been free of compression issues. Their authoring firm needs to change their encoders and up the bitrates.

All the special features are excellent. The deleted scenes and commentary jump to mind. I have the DVD for those features, so with the 4-pack BD, I'm quite content.

I don't know about the Canadian, but the Quad Feature has Full Tilt Boogie, which was mainly packaged with From Dusk Till Dawn on the DVD.

Canadian Steelbook has nearly all the extras except the Full Tilt Boogie documentary film.

US Four Pack has just the three films plus Full Tilt Boogie documentary film.

If you really need it in HD, get the Four Pack and the Steelbook for the complete package, bear in mind you'll have two "copies" of From Dusk Till Dawn and it will be pretty pricey.

Cheaper option, find the OOP Collector's Edition DVD, Full Tilt Boogie is on it's own disc. Combine the FTB disc with the Canadian Steelbook. Sell or giveaway the FDTD DVD.

Anyone pick this up?

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/From-...Blu-ray/78803/

Price can't be right for one bd, right? I'm assuming they threw in

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/From-...Blu-ray/22220/

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/From-...Blu-ray/20903/

But it is quite pricey for EB if that's all it is. Any chance they bothered to put the first on a bd50 with Full Tilt & the other two sequels on a second disc or something like that?
