Default Am I crazy for wishing for these titles? ...

1. Agnes of God (1985) - I have the HD 1080p iTunes version and it looks pretty nice. I see that the latest on here claims Mill Creek Entertainment but no release date. Does this mean it's confirmed that they'll eventually release it on a physical BD?

2. April Fool's Day (1986) - Another that looks much improved on iTunes but you can tell it's FAR from the full restoration you'd (hopefully) get on a real disc. IMHO, an underrated pseudo-horror flick... but no, after Paramount, then Lionsgate and now Warner, it's been released for a THIRD time on DVD... grrr!

3. Stephen King's It (1990) [TV] - Come on now. For one, you'd finally be able to fit both parts on a single disc and not only that but, while not his MOST popular, I'm sure there's a larger demand for this one than the studio(s) must think.

4. The Money Pit (1986) - I've seen YouTube clips of a 720 version, though they probably just upconverted the DVD source. I just don't get this one not being on Blu

Others that aren't on the top of my list but I do get boggled by there not being available:

Candyman (1992)
Phantasm (1979?)

It's sad when Faces of Death gets a BD release but some of these others are neglected. No offense to those that like FoD

I imagine It is being saved for the planned remake that Warner Bros. is working on (sadly, little has been heard about the remake even though a director was attached).

Candyman is available on blu-ray in the UK.

April Fool's Day on blu? YES PLEASE!! (I have a severe crush on 1980's Deborah Foreman)

Phantasm you would think would of been out by now. I hate when you get the sequels before the original.

The Money Pit and It would be awesome too.

I read the reviews to the UK version of Candyman and it sounds like it looks terrible, which defeats the purpose of a Blu-ray, heh. I watched the DVD and yikes... if that's what their original print looks like, yeah, it'll take some great restoration work.

AFD is by far my top of the list. Bernstein's score, slick direction (the timing, editing/details have to be perfect and are), great acting and I still have a crush on Amy Steel, lol.

DVD snap (enlarged)

HD snap

Exactly.

The Money Pit had so much work put into the DVD's 5.1 surround and DTS mixes that I can't understand this one either. It's Spielberg; enough with only releasing E.T. !

Thanks for agreeing though

(P.S. - Not exactly perfect screen-capture work but you get the point)

An It remake has a lot of potential. The miniseries left out a lot (such as the hate crime subplot) and a book as brilliant as It deserves the epic treatment.

Anyway, it seems like Phantasm is MIA on Blu-ray due to its recent obscurity. When people say "The Tall Man" now, it's not Phantasm they talk about (instead, it's the Slender Man Mythos or that boring Jessica Biel movie).

Ah, see I never read the book :/

Here's one that would even give Criterion a royal headache: The Day After ('83) [TV] ... that one looked bad at the time it aired!

Disney owns The Day After and licensed it to MGM so that's probably a no-go for Criterion (seeing how their Straw Dogs DVD got pulled from circulation).

Crud. They seem like the only ones that take on such immense challenges.

Does anyone know if there's a way to create a "forum" on an unreleased Blu's placeholder page? I'd start them if I knew how.
