Blade Blade II

I'm finding it hard to find the US releases of Blade and Blade II in Canada





I can find these no problem Blade is cropped from 2:35:1 to 1:78:1 and therefor it's no good plus the American version has DTS MA 6.1 audio the Canadian one only has DTS MA 5.1

Blade II is reframed from 1:85:1 to 1:78:1 plus the American version has DTS MA 7.1

I can only find these

You didn't look very hard because, Amazon have all three: Blade, Blade II and Blade Trinity in stock. Also, I've seen Blade and Blade II at Wal-mart in their $7.88 bin.

I know Amazon has all 3 but I can't find them in Canada.

Since those are U.S releases, you may have to import them.

That will be $14.33 per movie! The blu-rays didn't cost that much, when they were released over a year ago. It'll still be cheaper to import Blade and Blade II from the U.S, since the original poster only want the two movies, which is probably the reason why he prefer to buy them individually from the U.S.

that's the only options though if u want the good versions. buy that box set or import the single releases from the us.

Yeah not sure about that. Since they were already cheap on release, I think you could get the Blade Trilogy US release set for less than $30 when it came out. Since then the price has gone up. I think it may stay high, since I don't think there is unlimited production on this set. But time will tell.

I'm going by how Alliance typically works, many of their previous blu sets went down to a very handsome price.

I had no idea about the re-framing, but isn't the Canadian release of Blade barebones? Whereas the US one has the same extras as the DVD?

Are theses the Alliance Vivafilms version ? Don't like them much !! But their new version of the movies with tons of extra and it's available in Canada...
