Anyone getting Assassin's Creed?

I was watching some play videos from IGN and I think I'm going to pick this title up (after hearing some day one buzz).

I like the sneak around part. I prefer stealthy stuff, which uses some intelligence verses run n gun.

Anyone else getting it? What are your thoughts?

It looks to be very promising. They used "Kingdom of Heaven" movie to help create the backdrop and did plenty of research so it is historically accurate to a certain degree. Your targets for assassination are supposedly based on power characters of the time.

It looks very promising and the game clips presented so far show a very nice engine. When you actually bump into characters they react and you even have beggars that come up to you asking for alms. In one of the clips, the main character actually pushes them down.

The combat, however, kind of looks like more reactive than aggressive. We'll have to see how this turns out. I have not doubt that this is probably going to be one of the bigger games of the year.

I will wait for some reviews to come in first before I decide. Not only that, but, as it comes out only a week before Uncharted, it may just get in the way

The only game I'm buying before my B-day and Christmas is Mass Effect. Assassin Creed is on my list of games, but I wait to see if it’s going to be a gift. While I wait I guess I'll be checking out reviews and if I’m lucky playing a demo (if one comes out)

Quality like that deserves rewarding.. unless you're expecting to be gifted with that too.

Uncharted is another game I would like to try. I look forward to a demo. December is my month of gift. I have My B-Day and Christmas, so if I'm lucky I receive some Blu-rays and games. There are too many games for Nov. I don't have time to play them all so I'll just buy the games I can play pick the other up when I have time.

Personally I like everything I heard and seen so far about Mass Effect so it's my last game I'm buying until after Christmas.

Can someone tell me a little about this?

I do have a PS3 but I only play sports games on it, never played a title like this.

I do play games on the PC as I have WoW, CoD, BF2 and BF2142, etc.

What gameplay would this be like?

Yes, it's on the list. They've had more than enough time to include it on the BD rather than preparing a patch.

i cant wait to pop this game into my ps3... i switched the pre order from xbox to ps3 after watching some videos... i just perfer my ps3 controller =) and the rumble support is an added bonus. woot. go ubi soft.

I am most definitely buying this game when it comes out! I've hear it describes a "Thief" set in the Middle Ages-- a Crusade, i think (not sure) The sneak around is not the same as, say the excellennt 'Splinter Cell; series, but more in the vein of 'blendinng in'.... A title well worth the buy!
