According to Ben Stiller's official Twitter account, The Cable Guy is currently being transferred to BD. One can assume we'll hear about it's release soon... maybe?!

I've always hated this movie, but I haven't watched it in probably 10 years. I'd like to check it out again to see if my feelings would change, because I love Jim Carrey. Thanks for posting.

Edit: It would be awesome to get a commentary from Carrey and/or Stiller, along with some new special features, but that's probably wishful thinking.

First "Escape From New York" is announced and now this? AWESOME!!!!!! Now if only "Demolition Man" and "Red Dawn" get released, all of my adolescent classics will be on Blu!

Good news. It's been a mission to even locate the widescreen DVD of this one since Sony, in their wisdom, deleted the original double-sided (widescreen / 4:3) DVD and replaced it with a single-sided 4:3 platter. There is the widescreen UK DVD of course - but it's cut.

The Blu can't arrive quickly enough for me.

I love Jim Carrey, and his performance in The Cable Guy was outstanding!

I hope it gets a nice transfer and great extras!

This was one of the first dark comedies I can remember seeing and I loved it. I was like 7!

for me, this was one of the movies that gets funnier the more you watch it....if you didnt like it the first time, try it again.....i find it very funny now

I would pick this up if the price wasn't too high, as it's not my favorite Carrey movie. But I do remember the year it was released it was on my birthday, June 14th. When it does hit blu I am sure it will look great as Sony always does a wonderful job on all their blu releases.

Loved this movie as well when it came out. I guess the average movie watcher was expecting an Ace Ventura character in every movie he made. Love the party scene. Will buy when it comes out.

I also liked this movie a lot. Not really funny and not all that great overall, but for whatever reason, I can't keep from watching it whenever it's on cable. Definitely getting this on blu.
