Arrow Horrid Henry: The Movie in 3D

A big screen, 3D movie adaptation of the popular children's book series by Francesca Simon, due for release in the UK on 29th July 2011.

No plans for a US release at the moment, but I suspect if one does come along it'll be around October this year or early 2012.

Looking at the cast list there some quite big British celebrity names in there, such as Jo Brand and Richard E. Grant.

I wasn't keen on the TV series, but loved the books and the movie looks very good, so may go and see it, even if it is a children's movie.

+1, way to force 3D into a film.

I hate kids films like this, this kind of dream world that kids live in, where all the adults are retards or "too strict", and 10 year olds can get up to any old crap.

Weren't you guys one of those little bastards once?

[Show spoiler]I definately agree Foggy, it seems to be the fantasy of diluting into their young age as if they can manipulate from their age. I do want to point out that we as adults often recognize children as being innocent and passive, like what Fredrick Nietzsche described the "superman", a child essentially.

The 3D in this one was rather weak, uneven and surprisingly pointless. It had a very quick bullet time shot which was relatively nice to see (bullet time scenes are way too underutilised in 3D movies) and the 3D was satisfying in the doll house like shots of Henry's home. Just a few swift pop-outs with snot and a football coming right at the viewer. Nothing to write home about all in all.
