Agreed.
Didn't see this thread so I threw Drive in with a couple of other films I wanted.

The guy that played the "advanced model" of warrior, Masaya Kato, was in Crying Freeman with Dacascos.
He was also in a couple of other great films: Fighter in the Wind and Brother with "Beat" Takeshi from Battle Royale

I saw that and needed more loose trousers. I just loaned a buddy of mine my Medusa release of Drive last week telling him it is one of the most underrated MA flix, ever.

I bought the Simitar release of this which is widescreen but non anamorphic. Would love to see this at least re-released for anamorphic widescreen. Even if it's just a dvd version. Speaking of Mark, how bout a US release for Brotherhood of the Wolf? Possibly his best film to date IMO.

I picked up the UK HD-DVD import of Brotherhood and it looks phenomenal. I can't wait for a blu release of that.

in reality, the guy doesn't have much available on blu-ray.

While we are at it, throw Crying Freeman in there.

So is this movie considered his best? I haven't seen it yet. Noticed it was on DVD, but only in full screen .

This isn't a Rush Hour knock off ... is it?

Most people would consider Brotherhood of the Wolf his 'best work'. Some might say 'Crying Freeman' but this certainly has some of his best fighting.

I have the UK Medusa Director's Cut release with an additional 16mis worth of footage.
But yeah, it has been several years since this has been dusted off the shelf.

It was released a full year before Rush Hour.

I agree with (snowman 99) and (Snake Plissken), you have to see this and it is some of his best fighting to date.

I don't want to ruin it for you but the fight at the end is one of the best on screen fights I've seen. You got bionic boosted fighters, motor cycles, bull whip and a kick ass explosion. The ending alone is worth it and there's more throughout the film. John Pyper-Ferguson is a great bad guy and he is funny as hell in this. Best line in the film has to be, " that son of a b*tch could eat flour and shit cupcakes". It had me rollin'. You must see this film if you're a fan of Marks.......You must see this even if you're not. It's good!
