Default Batman The Animated Series

Probably the best animated show ever made IMO!

I recalled the year before the show was released as i was reading in Starlog magazine about the upcoming Batman Returns with an animated show in the works, i couldn't wait as i dreamed of an animated show since 1989 and i watched the pilot episode on TV "On Leather Wings" 21 years ago on August when i was 11 and it didn't disappoint me as i would tape and watch the animated show sometimes on prime time or every afternoon.

I was only seven or eight when this series first appeared, I can remember my dad watching the first few episodes he was worried about the series being to dark. It fast became one of my favorite series, it still has tho be in my top ten.

Kevin Conroy and especially Mark Hamill gave some of the best vocal performances for a series I have ever heard.

I was around 8 years old as well when the series first aired as well and my brother and I were fans of it for a long time. Definitely wouldn't mind having these on blu-ray if they were to come out. Perhaps when that happens they will also include the movies along with them.

I watched it when I was younger too, and I've been watching the DVD's for the past few months, and they're just awesome. Unlike with other older cartoons, these actually get better with age. It's my dream that a live-action movie could have the same feeling and look of this show. I don't know if we'll ever see them on BD though, it'd probably be a big undertaking to clean them up, and such.

I remember this one. One of the few great animated series that didn't talk down to kids and had intelligent, sophisticated storytelling.

Oh yes i did watched it every afternoon after school and even sometimes on prime time as i taped and watched the show religiously.

I even collected Batman Adventures comics and i even had a crush on Harley, Catwoman (Well always had a crush on her since i was 8 reading the comics and watching reruns of the 60's show), Zantanna and Ivy when i was a kid and teen, lol. I mean Bruce Timm knows how to draw sexy animated women.

What is everyone's favorite episodes?
Mine are:
Almost Got Em.
Feat of Clay.
Heart of Ice.
Two-Face.
The Forgotten.
Joker's Favor.
Christmas with Joker.
Beware of Grey Ghost.
Mad Love.

Over The Edge.
Appointment in Crime Alley.
Legends of Dark Knight.
Blind as a Bat.
Perchance to Dream.
Catwalk.
Read My Lips.
If your so smart why aren't you rich.
On Leather Wings.
Trial.
Demon's Quest.
Make Em Laugh.
Heart of Steel.
His Silicon Soul.
Laughing Fish.
Zantanna.
Joker's Wild.
Tyger Tyger.
Holiday Knights.
Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne.
Cult of the Cat.
Bane.
Joker's Wild.

This show has the definitive version of Batgirl. They did better things with Barbara than decades' worth of comics.

Say Clarke, your right about this being the best Batgirl. She was even a hottie on this show as much as Ivy, Harley, Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Zantanna are as i remembered digging them when i was a kid and teenager,

And while not an episode of the series but to Superman TAS, the World's Finest was an epic mini-series episode.

I loved this show as a kid, the animation was by fare greater then any other cartoon at the time. As well the voice cast was top notch Kevin Conroy is Batman as fare as I concerned, & let not forget Mark Hamill pulling double duty as Joker/Robin.

Awesome episode, i really dug it and i liked that Adam West is the voice of the title character as he was the 60's Batman and i did noticed West's voice. He was superb as Grey Ghost and did you know that the villain is modeled after Bruce Timm?

Hell yes. The nostalgia in that episode fits perfectly with the nostalgia of watching this show and my childhood in general.

This is a top 10 show all time to me, live action, animated, whatever.
