yessir...but I really feel sorry for them that they decided to bend over their integrity for money...

I could be enjoying TF right now...and I can't...

and I refuse to go purple over a handful of movies....especially when a couple of them are supposed to come out within the next 12 months and I don't expect there to be a red format available 12 months from now anyways...

I hear ya there. I have been tempted. I have put items in my cart before but I am so thankful that I never went through with the purchase. TF was an amazing film with stunning SFX but it is a movie that I have no problem upconverting until the real deal comes out...

i don't get tired of hearing about it. anytime i hear some rebuttal from HD-DVD i just say, we beat you during transformers week.

for example:
BD+ was cracked! (i hear this all the time)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

You lack features! (i hear this all the time)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

BD incomplete! (i hear this all the time)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

sony ceo says the word "stalemate" (i hear this all the time now)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

ppl don't use the PS3 to watch bd movies (i hear this all the time)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

our prices are cheap (i hear this all the time)
yeah but we beat you during TF's week

i can keep going and going, but i hope you get my point (i hear this all the time)
it's very effective and straight to the point.

use it wisely

HONESTLY, Did we expect anything less than fudged numbers, when you make one of the biggest financial mistakes a company can make, they have to make it look good for investors, thats all they are trying to do, please them and increase overall market value.

Poor people, I watched it on HDDVD, I WAS NOT impressed at all with the experience, no more than a dvd experience to me.

I wouldnt say that it was a financial mistake. They made more money to do the switch (150 million) than they would selling BD in 18 months. Assuming that paramount even makes a dollar per release (which is WAY high but I am using it for the sake of argument), there is no way that they would sell 150 million discs in 18 months. Financially it was smart. For the consumer, it was bad...

I admit that it is a ***** for consumers but then again, financially, it was a good decision. I am not backing Paramount here but anyone in their right mind knows that it is a business and every decision is made to increase profits and fill the pockets of the CEOs of these HUGE corporations

i wouldnt embarass my system with one of those pieces of crap, not really much better then playing a standard DVD and upscaling it with your blu-ray player of choice..

Do you really think all of the HD-DVD exclusives will be re-encoded to take advantage of bluray once it becomes the standard?

I don't. They aren't now with neutral titles.
