Funny you should mention it, I was thinking the same thing when Buckaroo Banzai was announced.
MGM released Buckaroo Banzai and UHF on DVD at around the same time, here's hoping Koch has plans for a UHF BD as well... |

picked this up yesterday. The transfer looks pretty good, no compression issues either or at least I didn't notice any. However, there's often a hook with Koch Media releases...and yes, there's one here too.
There is a very, very odd anomality for a split second right at 00:53:44 where the entire picture is all pixilated or blocky. I've never seen anything like that. Don't know if something went wrong during the making of the transfer or if something went wrong during the encoding process. But yeah, it's that typical Koch Media hook, heh. Hope they'll correct that. |

Didn't say at schnittberichte.com as they usually list if there is a different version. It clocks in at 102 minutes though. I might watch my copy today. Unbelievable, but this is a first time viewing for me (saw bits and pieces over the years however).

The movie itself plays fine in my PS3 (I live in the US btw). My copy does have the pixel problem that was described earlier, but it's brief, so I can live with it for now. As far as extras, every time I try to access them, it just reboots the menu for the extras - so I can't access them. Man, I wish it had an isolated score track, but from what I recall, the score is either lost or tied up in some damn legal issue. Oh, and this is the theatrical version.
