Default Captain Phillips Bluray redeemed as SD

Has anyone else had this problem. I bought Captain Phillips the other day and just got to redeeming my UV code today, and it only redeemed as SD, it's from the Bluray + DVD + Digital HD Ultraviolet, it says HD so shouldn't it redeem as HD. anyone know how to contact SonyPictures about this?

Where did you redeem it through? You have to go through whoever you redeemed it through to try to get it fixed. Sony is good about fixing these things if you redeemed directly through them. Just put a ticket in through ultraviolet.sony.com. If you did not redeem through them they won't be able to help you though and you'd have to go through Flixster, Vudu, etc... Whichever one you used.

This is the main reason I try to avoid redeeming anything on VUDU as they make you jump through hoops to fix issues, whereas both Sony and Flixster are very customer friendly and usually fix issues immediately compared to Vudu that require a copy of receipt, photo of the redemption card, photo of the case itself as well as your first born.

Flixster is pretty good about fixing issues that went wrong, through the chat option. These services need to wake up and realize their websites have serious database issues, not to mention server problems that flake out all the time.

I had the same problem with Cloudy with a Chance 2. Sony was actually really good and changed the format to HD without issue.

Hi JoshuaMFS,

We’re sorry to hear your code redeemed in SD. This might happen if you have a system that doesn’t have a HD-compliant configuration – has this happened with any other titles? If you’re still experiencing issues, please contact our Customer Care at ultraviolet.sony.com so we can get this resolved.

Thanks,
Valerie, from TriplePoint on behalf of the Digital Entertainment Group

What does this even mean? What "system"? What "HD-compliant configuration"? Are you saying I can't use the 10 year old PC in the public library to redeem UV codes because it certainly is not "HD-compliant"?
Your response doesn't make any sense.
