I do hope the 1.37 is a mistake. The DVD was open matte - this film was shown everywhere in 1.85 - it was 1956 and 90% of the theaters in the US no longer had the capability to show 1.37 - and a simple look at the DVD will show you all manner of unnecessary head room. If it's in the wrong ratio it's a big pass from me, but I'm hoping the specs here are just a guess, which is what frequently happens on sites such as these.

what aspect ratio is the current dvd in?

I thought that was interesting when I saw the site article. A 1.85:1 AR would seem to be more correct for this film, given that it came out in 1956, so I find it curious that WB would have issued the DVD in open-matte...
