A powerhouse performance from Warren Oates as the outlaw John Dillinger, whose crime spree is the stuff of legend. John Millius directs his own script with plenty of violent set pieces and a strong supporting cast. Way more fun than Michael Mann's Public Enemies.

The definitive Dillinger in my opinion, and not enough discussed among other iconic Oates roles.
