Welcome Blu Fans!
I wanted to have something of a Book Club of sorts, but with Movies. I wanted to pick a movie every week and if you have seen it great, join the discussion. If you haven't, what better time than now? The movie will always be available on Blu-ray and can range from the 1920's to something releasing this year. I will post the movie of the week on this first post, followed below by previous movies of the week. Once the week ends, usually on a Friday night, I will post the new film after the last post as well as this first post. Film for this Week ![]() Previous Weeks: Nebraska Last edited by seabterry; 03-03-2014 at 06:18 PM. |

This is good to hear. A lot of Oscar Nominees can't be labeled as "enjoyable" I think.

Her is my favorite of the best picture nominees, and one of my favorite films of all time for that matter; but the rest aren't that far behind. I thought 2013 was a fantastic year for film.

12 Years a Slave was my favorite, followed by Her. I wouldn't label 12 Years as "enjoyable," but it was a force when I watched it. I thought Her was incredible. |

We could do that, but it will take 8 more weeks and the awards will be over. I might not be doing them all together. I wanted to jump around the board some as well. I wanted to go back a few decades, but I think most will be around current times. I don't really have any restrictions for this thread. Right now my mind is in Oscar gear. |

After watching Nebraska, it is clear to me that this film is comedy above a drama. It might be where I am from, but the comedic set pieces were brilliant and I can see a lot of this happening. I will rewatch this, hopefully with my Dad. It was a 5/5 film for me.
