Default Classic Media Godzilla Blu-rays petition

With all the petitions popping up as of late I may as well throw my hat into the ring and attempt to get Classic Media to release the rest of the titles they have the rights to onto the format. Even if your only mildly interested please sign and help out with this one:

Mods can you move all these petition threads in the wish list section? This is starting to get ridiculous.

Starting to get ridiculous??? There have been a total of 3 threads pop up for petitions. If you don't like them then don't click on them it's that simple. I highly doubt a few treads you aren't interested in will ruin your browsing experience.

Oh and by the way this was posted in the Hammer petition thread.

But this should really be in the wishlist section.

If that one is allowed to stay this should be too.

Why dont you all get together and discuss this all important issue over a cup of tea and then a group hug afterwords

Too much arguing in the world and not enough kindness and respect

Have any of these petitions ever resulted in something getting released? Serious question. It seems like it must have worked at some point in the past but I am not aware of any examples.

Your probably thinking of Hedorah, Gigan, and Sea Monster. They were formally with Sony but are now with Kraken who are releasing them.

Instead of an online petition, anyone who would like Classic Media to release their Godzilla films onto blu-ray is better off contacting them directly with a polite email expressing interest in blu-rays of the movies.

There is contact info on Classic Media's website: http://www.classicmedia.tv/

Yep, I contacted them earlier. Their website sucks badly. Even their contact area is flash based so you can't just copy/paste links.

Here is the address for their home video distribution:

Code:
homeentertainment@classicmedia.tv

You'll never get a response. I did that weeks ago and nothing. With this an email is sent to them every time someone signs. It's not threatening in any way and is only showing them that there is interest out there with everyone that signs.

A personal response from Classic Media isn't necessary. An email from an individual tells CM that there's an interested customer out there, and I'm sure they have market research that shows that for every letter/email they get there are X number more interested customers. Me, or anyone else, contacting CM directly says that there is a real customer that cares about a product they can produce.

An automated email from an online petition might as well be spam, the very essence of personal contact is stripped away for what might as well be computerized gibberish. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if such emails get caught by company spam filters and directed towards the trash bin, never to be seen by human eyes.

Let me guess: You're too young to have ever heard of PetitionOnline, right?

(And that's why you're not busting a gut laughing at "Change.org", and/or think it sounds really cool? )

Did the Weinsteins have them then? Not that I expect Dreamworks to be any better as Classic's newly welcomed overlords, but it's hard keeping track of who's got what now.

(And sometimes, Dreamworks Greed Is Good. They can't watch the new Godzilla movie come out for another studio and not want a piece of it...)

The 9 Toho DVDs(7 Godzilla movies plus Rodan and War of the Gargantuas) were pretty good. Their Gojira Blu, however, was not. It's clear that they didn't understand the Blu-ray format back then.
