It's no secret that the active gaming forum population has dwindled. Though not nearly as busy as they have been, some popular threads still see some support, but in order to remain relevant, these threads need regular maintenance. The threads include foremost...
Trophy Leaderboards Platinum Brotherhood Release Calendar PSN ID thread The System Software and Tips and Tricks threads should have the OPs updated from time to time, but that's not essential to the threads' purposes and utility. I've been keeping the OP of the Instant Game Collection reasonable up to date. Now, I propose that unless we can find volunteers who have the time and motivation to maintain the former three that we unstick and possibly close them. The release calendar is very time consuming and potentially frustrating, and I doubt anyone wants to dedicate the same effort that Derb did for so long. I think that should be the first one to go. Benny has been keeping the leaderboard nominally up to date, but it's pretty clear he has more important things to do. I empathize completely. I might be willing to try and maintain that myself, if there is adequate interest among the membership. The Platinum Brotherhood can probably stay alive on its own, if the membership fancies having a thread to simply share their platinum trophy wins in real time, but it's another one that is a real drag to keep up to date. Without someone to keep it up, I think we should keep the thread alive and simply unsticky it. PSN ID has not been updated since 2015, and I think it should be let go. To me, sticky threads should be those that are continuously relevant. I'm asking for feedback. |

The biggest loss is the release calendar, but that's a pretty monumental task. I really think Derb deserves a lot of gratitude and appreciation from the forum for keeping it up as long as he did. I used it regularly, and I will miss it. |

Yeah I think the PSN ID thread can go too. A lot of us are putting them in signatures now and we have the PS4 blu-ray.com community. It's not worth keeping that thread stickied.
The platinum/leaderboard thread merge is a good idea too. I seem to remember another reason at the time for the Platinum thread was that if you needed someone to boost trophies or work with, you could look up who had done it. It was also to share triumphs too, but I remember both arguments. I don't know that the platinum thread needs a sticky, but I don't really partake in it anymore since I average 0-1 Platinum trophies a year now that I don't play as much (and generally just don't go out of my way for trophies). This is a long way of saying that I have no preference haha. Quote:

![]() ![]() And as I stated before, I can take over stewardship for the Brotherhood & if need be the Leaderboard thread. But if the Leaderboard thread ceases to be competitive then it should just be absorbed into the Brotherhood thread as you stated. |
