There were rumors that Rock Steady was going to do a TMNT game like Batman: Arkham, which got a lot of people excited.

EDIT: found this.

Our source dismissed the rumour, posted on the Paul Gale Network, as completely false.

Rocksteady has made no official statement.

The details of the rumour, which ignited hopeful fans worldwide, had the title as Manhattan Crisis. All the turtles were said to be playable with access to each’s unique weapons, and there was talk of playable flashbacks starring Master Splinter and his former owner Hamato Yoshi before he was murdered.

Bebop, Dr. Baxter Stockman, Krang, Rocksteady, and Shredder were named as bosses, and the Turtle Van and Blimp were mentioned along with other gadgets. The site claimed a planned Wii U version of the game would include touch screen controls for various actions, in addition to PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

TMNT: Manhattan Crisis was described as a bit “darker” than the cartoon series or previous titles based on the license, and while no mention was made of multiplayer, it was supposedly being built using Unreal 3 – as with Arkham City.

yeah that Paul Gale Network dude is usually full of shit on everything he posts. It's either made up or it's stuff that's already leaked and he posts it like "this is what I'm hearing".

Meh. Didn't remember the rumor started with him.

It's average, it's not terrible, but it's not really good either. My son wanted me to get it, he's too young to play so I have to play it. I didn't play very much, but it isn't too much fun honestly. I wouldn't recommend it.

That was my impression from the trailers. I guess I just miss the days of old and the arcade game.

Me too. If they did 100% direct conversion of old arcade games, I would buy that right now. I have bought X-Men and Simpsons arcade games, and I absolutely love them.

I personally would have loved a HD remake of those two.

Honestly, after playing the HD upgrade on Street Fighter II, I wanted it too. But after they messed up the TMNT in Time with those ugly 3D graphics, I would rather have the original arcade graphics. But if they do stay with 2D graphics, I would prefer that too. But thats asking little too much since they essentially have to redraw all of them.
