Older cartoon series with HD quality masters

What older cartoon series (not movies) still actually have good masters available, that would benefit from HD releases? I'm curious whether there are many older cartoon series that were stored on film, and are still in good condition.

I specifically mean animated series from before 2001, as that is when the major companies starting going digital and HD for animated series. And not anime, since they seem to have taken much better care of their older animated series in Japan overall.
