share your suggestions/question

When I get in the mood to get into some new anime I usually hop on here and ask for suggestions. But one of the last times I did that a member here posted a link.that was the anime equivalent of last FM. As in you enter a title you like and it suggests similar titles. It was a great resource but I seem to have lost the link. Anyone got any idea what web site it was?

In the meantime some helpful suggestions of series or preferably movies to check out would be appreciated. Does not have to be blu available

Edit : while i really enjoy dark scifi style anime I really like Miyazaki/ghibli. I also enjoyed nausicca, howls, and Laputa. But I didn't like ponyo which was much to childish for my tastes which has me weary of the rest of the catalogue any thoughts on ones worth my time please give me a heads up
