Default Misery - Kino Lorber Strange Case

Hi all,

I live in the UK and so onlyhave a few Kino Lorber releases that I have imported/bought off ebay. Just got Misery and ive never seen a bluray case like this. Its not black like the others its more smokey grey as you can see in the image below. The inside cover is pure white so those lines/marble like effect is the plastic case.

Anyone else had a Kino or other release in this kind of case?

BTW this is a genuine release not a bootleg or anything.Maybe just cheaped out on the case not sure lol.

This is a case that was poured into a mold and the black pigment ran out… i’m actually a bit jealous as I would love to have that case lol, looks super cool. If the case annoys you I would be happy to exchange a new black UHD case that is mint condition in exchange for your gray defect that somehow made it past quality control.

I would think this case would be awesome to house Smokey and the Bandit

It's got to be worth a couple of quid.

White cases (which are officially produced) are highly sought-after, so a genuine anomaly like this will be of interest to collectors.

That’d be a neat case to go with something if the art had similar colors to it.

I got a case like this recently from Sbout, can’t remember which movie. I’m sure it’s just a cost cutting thing to save some money.

My Predator 3-Movie Collection is one of a very select few 4K releases I have that’s in a “translucent” black case to show the reverse art on the cover sheet, which kind of looks like this a bit, except it really is so dark still that you can’t really make out the inside artwork like you can with a blue BD case.
