The second to last Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child's Play) theatrical film, his last theatrical released film was Stephen King's Thinner.

And I cant believe how messed up Lara went with plastic surgery.

....No longer "tempting"!

Dammit, if Shout's gonna release some 90s "[BLANK] From Hell" movies, why couldn't it have been Unlawful Entry...?

I could see it happening at some point since Shout is one of the few labels that has a deal with WB if not through WAC.

Most of the "big" titles have already been done, some to death. The Temp is at least a decent studio thriller with high production values

There's no rhyme or reason to what the studio decide to release themselves and what they farm out to third parties. One of the reasons why the pickings may be slim at the studio.

You're right...it's so sad to see such a beautiful woman (Twin Peaks,The Temp,Red Rock West, etc.) becoming a plastic mask (and not a pretty one at that).

Would be interesting if Shout included the deleted scenes and alternate ending- read more here about the original cut-

Somewhere a while back I read a post from somebody who viewed a workprint on VHS- maybe if Tom Holland participates he may have a copy to work from?

At least it's better than doing endless re-releases of the same stuff. I have no problem with this or Whispers in the Dark. Excited about getting both when they come out. Haven't seen The Temp in HD before.

I guess this is what Lara Flynn Boyle was up to during Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

Ah, I miss the good old days when Lara Flynn Boyle was still a knockout.
I saw a lot of her stuff in the 90s because of my love for Twin Peaks.
I remember watching this film and thinking the ending was dreadful. It's one of the reasons why I hated it so much. Maybe Shout will unearth one of the many other endings they shot. The original ending described in the article seems fun.

I've been patiently waiting for Scream Factory to release this—I think I mentioned it even in a thread a year or two ago. I'm glad my wish came true. This is an immensely entertaining (albeit absurd) early-'90s thriller. They shot it in my hometown, so I'm even more partial to it—it really is a time capsule of the city as it looked when I was a kid. Lara Flynn Boyle and Timothy Hutton are great in it, plus you get Faye Dunaway really hamming it up. I will definitely be adding this to my collection. Hopefully Scream Factory is able to get the original ending Holland shot—it was much gorier, and featured
[Show spoiler]Boyle's character getting her hand chopped off before being burned alive in an incinerator; in the theatrical version, she does not actually die
.

I rented "The Temp" when I was an actual temp in 1994. I felt empowered by the movie!
The funniest part of the movie was when the boss asked his temp "where do you hope to be five years from now?" I'll be getting it.
