Hitbliss - get free movies/tv for watching ads

anybody try this service yet? I wonder if you can link a VUDU account. Currently it only has an option to link your Amazon AIV.

I have used it.

For those who don't know. You install the hitbliss program on your computer, watch commercials and earn money.

Not really a bad deal. If you are willing to fill out the personal info and let them keep the program running in the background, you can earn money pretty fast. Obviously there are privacy issues with this. For people are concerned with that type of thing, hitbliss probably isn't for you.

Get a few trust levels under your belt and you can earn enough to rent just about any movie on Amazon in 5-10 minutes. I'm at trust level 6, and get around 26 cents for watching a 30 second commercial. The ads autoplay one right after another, so I basically earn 26 cents every 30 seconds.

I'm not sure about Vudu, I just linked it to my amazon and use it that way. Haven't seen anything about Vudu in the program. Not to say it's not that there, just not the service I use so I've never looked for/noticed it.

Hitbliss does have a few quirks.

Obviously it's not free movies, you do have actually halfway pay attention to the ads because they will have popups requiring you to do an action (pressing the enter key within a certain amount of time) every couple minutes or so. If you miss one of the popups, they will drop your "trust level" and you earn money at a reduced rate. But the flip side is also true, if you hit all your popups, you will gain "trust levels" and make more money per commercial watched.

The ads can be pretty boring. Mostly government PSAs and insurance type stuff. Though occasionally they will have other stuff. Count on only having around 10 different commercials available at any given time, so you will see the same 30 second clips over and over. You still earn money for repeats, it's just tedious.


Finally you can only have $6 saved and you can only use it on rentals. Once you hit the $6 mark, you need to spend it before they will let you earn more.

I also believe you can only rent 3 or 4 titles a week.

Overall I give the service a soft recommendation.

You do earn money pretty fast and there is a large selection of movies to spend it on. They also partner with amazon and you can link your accounts. Once the movies are rented, you can watch the movies on the usual platforms.

But you do have to watch commercials over and over again, you can only rent movies and there are privacy concerns.

I installed the android version on my nook hd+ table instead of the computer version. So you can also earn that way.

I was able to pretty quickly max my $6.

I have yet to redeem it though. They have three places you can redeem to that I can see. You can redeem for a month of premium Pandora. I prefer Slacker myself, so not too interested in that. You can redeem in for their video selection. If you do that, you can only view it in their app or program. I prefer to watch on my tv using my roku. For that, that leaves Amazon redemptions. To do that you have to enter your amazon account credentials. That gives me pause, though I have not read of anyone having issues with it directly, though some have had amazon force a password change on them after linking.

From what I understand the limit is 3 Amazon items per week. The limit is higher for items from their store.

But you do have to watch commercials over and over again, you can only rent movies and there are privacy concerns.

The movies you can rent are also only in SD. You can buy tv shows. The are also however only SD.

To me the best thing they could do is add UV linking to their own store. Then we could watch them using the existing UV supporting services such as Vudu, ticket and flickster. I would also like to see the ability to get the HD versions. If they did these two things it would be a winner.

I have read the read their feedback, so hopefully enough will request they do these two things, and they do it.
