Sony is releasing Underworld: Rise of the Lycans on blu-ray on May 12th 2009

They are also releasing a 3 disc boxset on the same date as well with all three movies.

Same here, only need the third one. Didnt get to see it in the theatre, but the third will be a blind buy for sure!

same here.. Will there be a unrated/directors cut edition like the first one as well; or is there only a theatrical release on blu?

Wouldn't "Rise of the Lycans" be the first chapter in the trilogy?

this last film for me felt like a made for tv film, with cheesy visual effects, terrible acting from the lead actress. Only Bill Nighy saves the film as that Viktor, but even so thats the only pro the film bares.

Well I loved the movie as a whole.

I think the way it ended connected perfectly with the first Underworld.

Yeah, it's a pre-quel sequel like Indy & Temple of Doom. Got the first 2, just need the 3rd.

Same here. I actually thought the third one was much better than the second one - but then I have always been an admirer of Rhona Mitra since I saw her in "Sweet Home Alabama"
