I'm looking forward to it. I enjoyed the fourth film, Origins, since it went down a different path in the Abaddon story.
I haven't watched the trailer for this one. So, I'll be going in completely unaware of what this story is.

I'm stoked for this one too! I'll check it out either Wed or Thurs. I've enjoyed every entry. Never seen one in the theater though.

Just finished the movie. Sitting here in the theater by myself.
After all the other movies being found footage, the cinematography was pro! Acting was excellent. The story ties a lot together. Creepy. Sound design gets under your skin. Catch it in the theater.

P.S. Their was a short trailer for the movie before the movie. So avert your eyes. No other trailers.

The original Hellhouse llc movie was interesting as a documentary style film pretending it's a real haunting. The sequels were like parodies though, way too far fetched and lost track IMO.

There is a clown now? I don't remember a clown in the original story which was maybe based on a real life event (true or not).

Definitely not based on a true event. The clown(s) were arguably the key memorable repeat scares from the first movie. Google images from the movie or franchise, the clowns will be 40% of the top results.

Thanks. Clowns are a big draw, so I can see why they're including them here.

Okay, I was way off the mark here with what movie I saw. All I remember is that it was made like a documentary, where the guy buys the house that was actually shown on Inside Edition as "hell house portal" and there was a demon ghost in the front window, and even the police didn't want to enter.

It's called Demon House. I mixed it up with this Hell House series. I'll watch the first movie which I see is free to watch on youtube.
