Default Downloading old .ite iTunes extras

Hey, quick question for anybody. I already kind of got my answer in the "new iTunes extras" thread, but is there any way to acquire the old .ite extras for a movie you purchased where you have not already at one time downloaded the old now-missing extras? In other words, I have all my .ite extras for movies I downloaded that came with them and I saved, but not movies where I never bothered to download the .ite extras along with it in the first place.

For The Wolverine for example, I downloaded the digital copy and it's known if one deleted it and re-downloaded from the cloud they would get the .ite extras, up until a week ago. I never deleted and re-downloaded, so is there any way to get those extras since the movie is in my purchased section/cloud or are all the .ite extras that one did not already have completely unavailable from the store forever now? Thanks, hope I'm making any sense.

If you have the film on your hard drive, delete it, then redownload it. iTunes will ask if you want to download the film with the iTunes extras or just the film.

Hi, thanks, it's working for those I at one time already had the extras for. What about movies for which I had but never deleted and re-downloaded before last week to ever get the .ite extras in the first place? Will they still show up if I try it now? I deleted The Wolverine and re-downloaded but could not get the old .ite extras, even though it worked before for people last December who got it from the digital copy. Is there a button or setting I can check to enable this or am I out of luck as the .ite extras are gone?

I should also add this is for my SD movies that had the .ite extras, so if you're referring to HD movies I think I'm out of luck.

Considering the Wolverine was released before the new iTunes Extras was enabled, you should've been able to re-download the file and have the option to either download just film or the film and the extras.

The reason I know this is because I just re-downloaded the film yesterday and it asked me what I wanted to do.

Interesting, I just tried to download all my SD copies I have in the cloud, and The Wolverine (Theatrical) didn't ask about downloading movie with old extras or just movie. It just downloaded the movie only. In fact, the only SD copies that gave that option were titles that I redeemed with a code that didn't require a disc/xml to redeem. The ones that did require disc/xml to redeem only downloads the movie only, no extras.

I not too worried about about The Wolverine since I am thinking about purchasing The Wolverine Extended since it is $9.99 on itunes at the moment

That shouldn't happen. I just re-downloaded my SD copy of 300 Rise of an Empire and I was allowed the option.

Had you at one time already deleted the digital copy/re-downloaded it to get the extras or outright purchased it with extras? If so i think that might be the answer.

I'm not getting the option to download the extras separately, they either just download with the movie or don't. If you or anyone knows how to enable this feature I'd be grateful.

Yeah, I had already deleted and re-downloaded it. Actually, did it a few times.

I should make a note, that 98% of my iTunes movies were codes that I have were from codes that I'd redeemed. 300 Rise of an Empire didn't have an iTunes codes with a BD release.

I think those that actually bought the film in the iTunes store will still be able to download the old iTunes extras files (at least those that have them). While those that used a promo code to get the movie into their iTunes account won't be able to download old iTunes extras if it is an SD movie purchased with a digital copy movie code.

I don't know how they work, but I was able to redeem some of the older iTunes extras on my parents PC, but on my Mac at home they wouldn't show up. Maybe it's a Mac and PC thing.

With the new updates it looks like iTunes extra are becoming more readily available

Can't wait for the iOS 8 update
